AdBlue® is a harmless synthetic 32.5% solution of high purity urea and a constant level of quality that is ensured by production, storage and handling in accordance with ISO 22241 and DIN V 70070. It is used as an exhaust mission reduction agent, primarily for harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx), by SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology in commercial vehicles with Euro 4, Euro 5 and Euro 6 diesel engines.
AdBlue® is used for heavy duty diesel vehicles (trucks, cargo and commercial vehicles, buses) as well as light commercial vehicles and passenger cars with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction Catalyst) exhaust technology to meet the requirements of Euro 4, Euro 5 and Euro 6 standards. AdBlue® consumption equals about 5% of diesel consumption per 100 km.
